VELQIA (“App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is designed to help users track their quit-smoking journey, understand cravings and triggers, monitor recovery progress, track savings, and stay motivated.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use VELQIA, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
 

1. Information You Create in the App

When using VELQIA, you may enter or create information such as:

  • Quit date and time

  • Smoking-related habits

  • Craving and urge records

  • Trigger information

  • Smoke-free duration

  • Savings and goal information

  • Progress and recovery records

  • Personal notes

  • Personal text or voice messages created for moments of craving

  • App preferences and theme settings

This information is used to provide the relevant features of VELQIA.

VELQIA is not intended to upload your smoking cessation or health-related entries to servers operated by us. Information used by local app features may be stored on your device and may use Apple-provided local app-sharing mechanisms where required for widgets or related Apple device features.

We do not sell this information or share it with third-party advertising companies.
 

2. In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

VELQIA uses RevenueCat to manage Premium purchases and subscriptions.

RevenueCat may process information including:

  • Purchase history

  • Subscription status

  • Products purchased

  • Apple purchase receipts

  • Transaction-related information such as last-seen app activity

  • Limited technical information such as device type and operating system

  • An anonymous app user identifier generated by RevenueCat

RevenueCat is not used by VELQIA to collect your health or fitness information. RevenueCat requires purchase-history processing as part of its iOS purchase management functionality.

VELQIA does not receive or store your credit card, debit card, or bank account information. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.

RevenueCat's processing is also subject to its own privacy policy.
 

3. Apple App Store

Purchases, subscriptions, payments, refunds, and App Store transactions are handled by Apple.

VELQIA does not have access to your credit card number, bank information, or Apple payment credentials.

Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
 

4. Notifications

VELQIA may request permission to send notifications to help support your quit-smoking goals and progress.

You can disable notifications at any time through:

iPhone Settings → Notifications → VELQIA
 

5. Widgets and Apple Watch Features

VELQIA may provide widgets and Apple Watch features on supported devices.

To provide these features, certain app information may be shared between components of VELQIA using secure mechanisms provided by Apple for apps belonging to the same user.

This functionality is not used for advertising tracking.
 

6. How Information Is Used

Information processed by VELQIA may be used to:

  • Provide VELQIA features

  • Display your quit-smoking progress

  • Verify Premium access

  • Manage purchases and subscriptions

  • Provide Restore Purchases functionality

  • Support widgets and related app features

  • Maintain app security and functionality

VELQIA does not sell user information for third-party advertising purposes.
 

7. Advertising and Tracking

VELQIA does not use RevenueCat to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

RevenueCat states that its purchase-history functionality does not inherently track users across third-party apps for advertising.

If advertising, attribution, or additional analytics technologies are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.
 

8. Data Retention

Information stored locally by VELQIA may remain on your device until you delete it, remove it through available app controls, or delete the app and its associated local data.

Purchase and subscription records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat in accordance with their legal, security, and operational retention requirements.
 

9. Data Deletion

You may remove locally created VELQIA information using available deletion or reset functionality within the App.

Deleting VELQIA from your device may also remove data stored locally by the App.

Purchase records and App Store transaction records maintained by Apple cannot be deleted by VELQIA.

10. Children's Privacy

VELQIA is intended for adult users seeking support related to quitting smoking and tobacco use and is not designed for children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
 

11. Health and Medical Disclaimer

VELQIA is a general health and wellness tool intended to support smoking cessation.

VELQIA:

  • Does not provide a medical diagnosis

  • Does not replace a physician or qualified healthcare professional

  • Does not provide emergency medical services

  • Is not intended to function as a regulated medical device

If you have concerns regarding your health, you should consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
 

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled through VELQIA.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
 

13. Third-Party Services

VELQIA may interact with the following third-party services:

Apple App Store
Used for app distribution, payments, subscriptions, and in-app purchases.

RevenueCat
Used to validate and manage Premium access, subscriptions, and in-app purchases.

These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
 

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When material changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
